Recyclass Certification for rEPS
Our site in Nully has been RecyClass-certified since February 2024. The certification confirms the use of 95 percent recycled plastic in the production of rEPS. This is obtained from both post-consumer (PCR) and post-industrial (PIR) material. The remaining five percent are additives. It is particularly noteworthy that we use 78 percent post-consumer material, which reduces taxes in France, Italy and Spain.
The certification applies exclusively to the recycling process in Nully, specifically for rPS and rEPS. It is valid for three years. However, the percentage of post-consumer or pre-consumer material is analysed annually and updated accordingly.
Storopack is the first EPS manufacturers on the market to achieve this high standard in the production process with mechanical recycling.
