STOROPACK SUPPORTS FOUR CHARITIES NEAR TO ITS LOCATIONS
The Christmas season is traditionally considered the most beautiful time of the year. For the children and staff of the St. Laurentius day care center in Langförden, Germany, there was time for presents well before Christmas. Storopack plant manager in Vechta Achim Kamphausen and sales representative Josef Osterloh handed the creche a cheque for 5,000 euros. The donation is to be invested in new purchases for the day care center. The furniture manager Angelika Jäschke has already decided on two large sun sails and new playground equipment which are needed to improve the outdoor playground.
In addition, Ms. Jäschke and Pastor Ralph Forthaus, were visibly pleased to see the children who were present at the donation ceremony and are eagerly awaiting the completion of the revised outdoor area. "We decided to support this facility, as it also looks after the children of many of our employees," says Achim Kamphausen, plant manager in Vechta, who was there to hand over the donation. The St. Laurentius day care center currently cares for about 155 children and is under the sponsorship of the local Catholic parish church.
Each year, Storopack supports four organizations that are socially engaged and close to more than 60 Storopack locations worldwide. This year the donations went to the Diakonie-Sozialstation in Metzingen, to the arwo Foundation in Wettingen, Switzerland, and to the Brazilian Imaculada Conceição Hospital in Cuvelo.
