STOROPACK PLANT IN PAMPLONA, SPAIN WINS KAIZEN INSTITUTE AWARD FOR EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT
On November 20th this year, at the Palacio Auditorio Cibeles in Madrid, top organizations were awarded for their outstanding implementation of the principles and practices of KAIZEN™. Storopack was one of this year's award winners in the "Efficiency Excellence" category and was honored for its increased efficiency at the plant in Pamplona, Spain.
In order to make processes more efficient and prepare for future growth, Storopack has introduced the company-wide Lean Management project: SCIP. March 2017 marked the start of this project, initially at the award-winning plant in Pamplona, Spain. The basic idea behind the organization concept is to optimally coordinate all of a company’s activities and avoid anything else that doesn’t contribute to value. The Japanese Kaizen concept represents the idea of continuous improvement across all areas of an organization.
The Kaizen Institute is the original and leading provider of KAIZEN™ services. The KAIZEN™ award program provides a generic framework that allows participating companies to evaluate the current level of excellence. Santiago Bacaicoa Hualde, Business Unit Manager Molding Spain, and Ignacio San Martín, SCIP Coordinator at the Pamplona plant, were present in Madrid and are proud to receive the award.
