Storopack donates 5,500 SFR to the arwo Foundation in Switzerland
In December, Yves Weber, Storopack's Business Unit Manager in Switzerland, handed over a cheque for 5,500 Swiss Francs to Roland Meier, managing director of the non-profit arwo foundation. The arwo Foundation in Wettingen, Switzerland, has been primarily supporting people from the age of 18 with mental and physical disabilities. The foundation resides in the canton of Aargau since 1974. "It was a very nice occasion and the gratitude of the people as well as the warmth shown was incredible," reports Yves Weber enthusiastically.
The institution currently provides about 280 people with individually tailored living, working and employment opportunities. In order to enable as much normality as possible for the adults, donations are increasingly required.
Each year, Storopack supports four organizations that are socially engaged and are close to the more than 60 Storopack locations worldwide. This year the donations went to the Diakonie-Sozialstation in Metzingen, the St. Laurentius day care center in Langförden, both Germany, and to the Brazilian Imaculada Conceição Hospital in Cuvelo.
